How to connect your X3 Media Player to Wifi?

In this article we will show you how to connect your device to wifi using the Divvy Remote

Step 1 - Go to the Desktop Screen

Grab the Divvy Remote and make sure your IR Receiver is Visible somewhere on your tv to receive the signal from your remote.  Note: See photo of remote and Receiver to the right for Reference

 

 

Step 2 - Disable Monitoring

Click the Home button on your remote. This action should bring you to the pink home screen. Wait 1-2 seconds and your Launcher App will open. (If it doesn't go and click on the Pink Generate Icon that is inside of what appears to be a box)

Step 3 - Disable Monitoring
Disable Monitoring by clicking the Play/Pause button on your Divvy Remote. Please make sure it now says "Monitor Disabled".  The button should turn Red

Step 4 - Go to the Wifi Settings
Find button "4" on your remote and press that for accessing your "Wifi Settings". 

Step 5 -  Find your Network
On the WiFi settings screen you will see a list of all available WiFi networks. * Scroll through this list until you get to your WiFi network. Open the WiFi Network settings by clicking "OK" on the name of your WiFi network.

Step 6 -  Enter Wifi Credentials
After you’ve click your WiFi network name you will be prompted to enter you WiFi credentials. It’s often useful to select the “Show Password” option before entering in your details.  Next Enter your WiFi network password. Then click on the GREEN ARROW on the right-hand side of the keyboard screen. Note: you might have to hit the return arrow on your remote to get to this. 

Make sure your Network Name says CONNECTED beneath it.

Step 7 -  Open the Launcher

At this point you should be connected to WiFi. Congratulations! Click the HOME Button on the remote.  Arrow over to the Pink Icon inside the box and click "Ok". If your content was out of date it should now start downloading your most recent schedule.

Step 8 -  Enable Monitoring

Once the launcher is open click the "Play/Pause" button on your remote to enable the monitoring.
